Good Health Through Collaboration

St. Catherine Hospital's community health priority areas include: Diabetes, Heart Disease & Stroke, Nutrition and Weight, Infant & Child Health and Mental Health.

Hospital staff and the Family Birthing Center has formed strong partnerships with organizations to help ensure moms and their babies have a healthy first start in life. As we pay close attention to keeping moms and their babies safe, we also recognize the need to serve our aging population and the behavioral health needs across Northwest Indiana through mental health and suicide prevention awareness events.

The hospital operates a Fitness Center for the public through a low-cost membership program aimed at preventing diabetes, heart disease and obesity. The Fitness Center offerings include a muscle strengthening class and SilverSneakers, a Medicare-driven fitness program for seniors.
